Grants for seniors programs
Guelph, ON – August 20, 2025
The Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) community-based grant is now accepting applications. The program supports projects that are designed by seniors’ organizations, for seniors, in their communities. This program funds a variety of projects that empower seniors in their communities through increased social inclusion.
Eligible organizations can apply for up to $25,000 for projects that are led by seniors and are volunteer based. The projects promote volunteering, engagement and mentorship, expansion of awareness of elder and/or financial abuse and supports the participation and inclusion of seniors.
“Supporting healthy aging, inclusive intergenerational engagement and financial security all ensure the wellbeing of our local seniors,” said Guelph MP Dominique O’Rourke. “Past funding in Guelph has made a real difference to help organizations like the Guelph Enabling Garden, the Guelph Tool Library, Guelph Wellington Seniors Association and the Pickleball Guelph Association promote healthy living and to increase inclusion.”
